The wonderful bunch here at St Bridget’s would love to say hello!

Meet Our Teachers

At the top of the list when measuring the quality of a school has to be the quality of the teaching staff. We are beyond fortunate to have a team of teachers truly dedicated to positive outcomes for all children.

Meet our teachers below!

Leadership & Administration

Robyn Thomson

Robyn Thomson

Principal

St Bridget’s is a warm and welcoming community where every child and family is known. The community of St Bridget’s is an extension of my own family and I feel a sense of belonging and connectedness. As Principal I feel privileged to lead this school and I’m excited about our future. Outside of school I enjoy walking to keep fit and spending quality time with my family and friends.

Christine Jamieson

Christine Jamieson

Administration/Office Manager

I love working at St. Bridget’s Primary school because of our unique boutique size, culture, caring staff and strong community which forms our vibrant working environment, led by a strong and engaging Principal. My role is interesting, rewarding and challenging but provides me with satisfaction. Students are encouraged to show respect, tolerance and compassion and to be Strong and Courageous, which is our school motto.
Students over all year levels are involved in Art, Italian, Music, PE,
swimming programs and carnivals, various sporting programs, choir, instrumental lessons, lunchtime chess and STEM program. Apart from teaching provided in class, the variety of activities offered to our students is wide.
I love being with my family and friends and playing tennis.

I absolutely love working at St Bridget’s. I have taught here for the last 13 years and my children all attended school here. We have a beautiful welcoming community that cares for each other like a big family. The big grounds, the chickens, the guide dog and the lizard give it a warm country like feel. On the weekends I love spending quality time with my friends and family.

Year 4/5/6 and Visual Arts Teacher

I love the warm community feel that comes with working in a small school like St Bridget’s. It’s a special thing to be able to get to know all students so well as it develops strong relationships between teacher and student, as well as fostering school and home partnerships. When I’m not teaching I love to read and engage in creative activities, such as painting.

I am really excited about our new initiatives in teaching STEM through Italian and I look forward to the future. I love to travel around the world and I am looking forward to new experiences.

Nicholas Woodgate

Nicholas Woodgate

Physical Education Teacher

The school community is fantastic at St. Bridget’s Primary School. It is a welcoming place for staff, families and students. I love the space in which I get to work in and it makes working easier when the students do too. To have such large grounds in an inner city school is a luxury. The extra sporting events the students participate in is an added bonus. The opportunity all the students get whether it is sport, education and leadership is underestimated and it makes every student grow into a valued member of the community.

Classroom Support Assistants

Donna Dunn

Donna Dunn

Learning Support Officer

As a staff member of nearly twenty years, St Bridget’s is truly the place to be.  I love working with those children who need a little more attention and seeing them grow and learn.  Outside of school I love being with my family and being creative.
